Food - again?!

I forgot to mention to y'all, I found a whole wheat bread that is non-HFCS that doens't completely make me want to, uh, not eat it ;) I shouldn't be promoting a specific brand, but it's the only one I've found that tastes ok and doesn't have the evil things! It's from Earth Grains and you can find it at the big bad WM store or most grocery stores. I like it because they have a honey wheat Organic...so it's a better choice than others, but yet not too terribly priced (although it can't compete with the $.99 cheapie white). However, don't let the name fool you - my taste buds are too sensative to like it for grilled cheese. It's a pb and j toast or make shift pizza kind of bread! But, it's a start.

As for the yogurt, I'm having a hard time getting over the initial shock of how the plain greek tastes on it's own. However, I fully plan to do some of your suggestions - specifically adding frozen cherries or blue berries. If that doens't work, then I'll add a little honey too. I won't give up on this!

Geesh, being healthier (I still put pepperoni on my makeshift pizzas...can't totally give up all the good stuff!) is really challenging when you're on a budget! Or even when not.

The frozen fruit will give you extra fiber, too, which is good.

Thanks for the tip on the bread. Some of those breads have some yucky stuff in there, don't they?

As for pepperoni -- oooh, do I love it! I swear I could eat mushroom $ pepperoni pizza for dinner every day. But, I don't. I do have it every once in a while, as a treat! So yummy!

Diana good for you on finding a bread I will have to look for it at walmart right? The ezekial bread it kinda different and my taste buds didn't care for it very much so I'm excited to try something new. Thanks for passing that info on! :)

I know what you mean about the price of eating healthy it's not easy on a shoestring budget!

WalMart. I hate to shop there (and I only like to mention places I enjoy going on a blog...not those that I don't care for), but dang if the budget isn't too tight for gormet prices.

"health" food is expensive. healthy food isnt. food thats marketted as non-this and enfused-that is way expensive, bu8t food thats naturally healthy is usually cheaper. canned tuna, bulk fruits and veggies, oatmeal, canned beans....very cheap.

i cant get into greek yogurt. bleh, too sour.

I found some non-HFCS bread, too. It's made by Arnold but I can't remember what it's called specifically (and dang it I'm too lazy to go traipsing into the kitchen right now).
