HYC update

I've been eating horribly. What is that you say? Exercise doens't give you free reign to eat whatever it is you want? No. Damn. In that case I think I've been very bad.

I am up 10 pounds from my last post of weight. I know at least 5 of that is water retention. Somehow I blame those potato chips (you mean my vice? yes, that would be the ones) that I mowed down this weekend. Or it could be the hot dogs for breakfast. Hey, I said I'd be honest and I've been slacking on that job. But, some of it is good 'ol fashion unhealthy fat. Because there is healthy fat?

So, my plan coincides with my pocket book...which is extremely light/tight right about now. Here's the deal. Until I can be trusted, I leave my debit card, credit cards and any cash at home. I eat what I plan the night before. Nothing more than that. No chips from the vending machine, no soda (even though I drink the zero stuff, I'm sure it's not helpin the situation). I drink a cup of coffee in the a.m. and water throughout the day. That's it. Simple, right? I'm banking on that one.

Diana,

If there's one thing that helps on those days of "awareness reality" is that you're not alone. Everyone has those I don't care days, weeks, ect., that they think they can eat whatever since they "exercise". The best part is that you noticed today and now you can get back to doing yourself the right thing.

That leave the money at home stuff really works too. Great idea.

I understand we all have those weeks that well it just ends up in a train wreck but don't get upset just push through it and go for a extra run or eat an apple .... as a over weight person most of my life , i have to stop being so hard on myself to relieve that horrible feeling i ate a bag of m&m's...I just run or do more cardio that week ...

I've done the same thing before and it worked wonderfully. Just make sure to bring in a few extra healthy snacks early in the week incase days run long or your famished one day. I have a drawer of them at work.

The first step to success is being honest with where you are, and now you've done that.

Good idea. It's difficult to be so strict with ourselves, but sometimes that's exactly what we need just to kick us back into plan.
