HYC

I did an ok job - WAY better than I thought I would have! Cookes - my hubby ate his 3 boxes already (OH, why do guys get to eat the bad foods and not baloon up?), I had a little less than 1 box all together. I'm pretty proud of myself! It equates to about 4 cookes/day.

Can't say that about the rest of my food, but I'm working on it. Small steps for now. I think we're going to incorporate salads 1/2 before dinner as to not gorge. Last night it worked, but I need a new salad dressing. Not rocking the low calorie red wine vinegarette...I thought the packets would work good with school, but it only works if you want to eat it! I need to switch back to the light greek vinegerrette - yum! Do you have an light dressings you've found that are good tasting?

There is a KRAFT Manadarin and Oil dressing out there that is fantastic.

I just realized I don't have any girl scout cookies--wonder why our little girl scout didn't come knocking lately...

Good job resisting the cookies!

I'm a weirdo so take my suggestion in that context -- I love to sprinkle lemon juice, some kosher salt and fresh pepper on my salads. I just really like that combination. I also go for the full-on fatty fat ranch dressing sometimes. For some reason I just don't like the light versions of creamy dressings.

After years of choking down light dressings we didn't really like, we discovered that going back to regular, but just using a little bit, seemed to work the best.

Sometimes we make our own--cooking light has some good recipes. Takes a few minutes, but seems to last quite a while and tastes much better than bottled.
